Information

Also called Point Pariñas, it is geographically a point that enters the Pacific Ocean, located in the department of Piura in northern Peru. It is known for being the westernmost point of the continental surface of South America.

It is reached by a road that leaves from the town of Negritos, in the department of Piura. From there, along the way, you pass through an area of salt flats, where you can observe a variety of birds typical of the area. The road continues to a place where the vehicles are parked.

The site you reach is completely natural, where the westernmost point of the continent is towards the sea. There is also a good beach that is normally not very crowded, and further on there is a lighthouse. On large rocks it is common to see sea lions.
