Saldungaray

Information

It is a village 9 km away from the locality of Sierra de la Ventana. It has a tourist information office, an ATM and shops to buy groceries and drinks. It has an organised camping site with plenty of room for camping.

The Sauce Grande River and its recreational area are very close, next to the town. In this place you can observe that along the river there are ravines with a colony of parrots of the species burrowing parrot (Cyanoliseus patagonus).

Another place to visit is the Pavón Fort (historical site), and the cemetery that has an artistic entrance for photography.

To get to Saldungaray:
- By car: the fully paved Provincial Route 72 joins it to the locality of Sierra de la Ventana.
- By bus: there are bus lines arriving from the cities of Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires and La Plata.
