Villa Serrana La Gruta

Villa Serrana La Gruta is a small village located in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It lies along Provincial Route 76, just about 6 km from the Ernesto Tornquist Provincial Park, which makes it one of the ideal towns to use as a base if you want to explore the entire park over more than one day.

It's a quiet and small town that can be explored on foot while enjoying the silence and calm that define it. From various spots you can take in the view of the distant hills that stretch across the horizon. It also has a few local attractions worth visiting, such as the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Fátima, a spacious and freely accessible area that covers approximately one hectare.

There's a picturesque pedestrian bridge that crosses the Ventana Stream, and underneath it runs a concrete path that allows vehicles to pass as long as the stream isn't swollen. This watercourse runs through the village and may be dry or not depending on the weather and time of year. You can also take a short walk along the Paseo de la Virgen Santísima de Laguna Blanca.

The village offers some accommodation options, camping and basic shops where you can buy groceries. If something isn't available, it's easy to head to the town of Tornquist or to Villa Ventana, since Villa Serrana La Gruta is located roughly halfway between the two (about 16 km from each).
