Information

It is a Mayan archaeological zone in the state of Yucatán, with a palace and some structures to see.

Its entrance gate is located directly on Route 261, at 9 kilometres from the town of Santa Elena (where there are lodgings and shops) and 22 kilometres from Uxmal. You have to pay an entrance fee, and it can be visited in about 40 minutes. It is ideal for when you are visiting nearby Uxmal and have some time left in the day to see more.

The main structure at Kabah is the building called Codz Poop, which is decorated with dozens of masks (hence the name Temple of the Masks).

Actually, the archaeological zone is divided in two by the road, because on the other side of the road there is another entrance road where you can see an arch.
