Valle del Arcoiris

Information

It is a trip through a valley that has hills of colours such as yellow, red, green, black and brown, which also took different shapes due to the erosion caused by water and wind over time. It is located 64 km from San Pedro de Atacama.

It has free access. The visit can be done in 1 hour with a vehicle drive where you can appreciate the colourful landscape.

To get to the Valle del Arcoíris (Rainbow Valley) from San Pedro de Atacama, take Route 23 towards Calama, and at 35 km from San Pedro or 64 km from Calama there is a road. You drive 25 km along this road, passing the entrance to Yerbas Buenas, until you reach a fork. There you turn left and drive another 4 km to the site.
