Information
It is a site with a large number of petroglyphs, located 59 km from San Pedro de Atacama.This area was formerly a place of passage and exchange of products for the Atacameños. They sculpted large stones to leave notices or messages to those who came after them. The drawings were of animals and humans, and this is what we can see during the visit.
The site is guarded and to enter you have to pay an entrance ticket.
To get to Yerbas Buenas from San Pedro de Atacama, take Route 23 towards Calama, and 35 km from San Pedro or 64 km from Calama there is a road. It is 24 km to the entrance to the cave paintings.
