How to Get to Aconcagua Provincial Park

The park has two entrances, both located on National Route 7:
a) Horcones: this is where most visitors enter the park.
b) Punta de Vacas: it is less visited.

How to get there:
a) By bus: there is public transport that goes from the bus terminal in the city of Mendoza, and leaves at the entrance of Horcones.
b) By car:
- First of all, bear in mind that if there is ice accumulated on the road, you must use chains for tyres.
- As it is located on National Route 7, it can be reached from different points of Argentina by asphalt through this road. The entrance to Horcones is 73 km from Uspallata and 190 km from the city of Mendoza. Punta de Vacas is 53 km from Uspallata.
- If you are coming from Chile, you get there by taking Chilean Route 60, which becomes Argentinean Route 7 after the border crossing. It is 170 km to Horcones from Santiago (there is a section on route 57) and 83 km from the city of Los Andes.
c) By plane: the nearest airports are in the cities of Mendoza (Argentina) and Santiago (Chile). Then, to get from the airport to the park you must rent a car or make a combination of bus or bus and car.
