Playa La Virgen

Information

It is a beach located on the coast of the Atacama region. It has white sand and crystal clear water, and is considered one of the best in Chile.

To get there, my recommendation is to take a GPS (with pre-loaded maps) as there is no single direct road to get there. It is 12 km by dirt road from the coastal village of Puerto Viejo:
- You can get to Puerto Viejo by first taking the paved Route 5 and then doing 22 km of bischofite road.
- If you come from Bahía Inglesa, there is the alternative of arriving to Puerto Viejo by the coastal Route C-302 of dirt and bischofita, covering 36 km with accesses to different beaches and attractions by the sea.
