Information
It is a village located at more than 3500 metres above sea level, in the region of Antofagasta in the north of Chile. It can be reached by Route 23, which is 89 km from San Pedro de Atacama and 120 km from the Sico Pass.
It is located in the middle of a completely deserted area, in fact it is the last populated place on the long way to the border with Argentina.
It is inhabited by farmers, mainly corn and quinoa growers. There are a few food and drink shops, and handicraft weavings are made. There is an old church that can be seen on the way into the village.
