La Paz

Information

It is a town located on the banks of the Paraná River, toward the northwest of the province of Entre Ríos. It has hotels, camping areas, a petrol station, a bank with an ATM, supermarkets and restaurants.

It has a pedestrian walkway along the riverfront, at the end of which there are some viewpoints with excellent views. The El Faro municipal recreational area is also located there, with a small sandy beach. In front of this area there is a riverside bluff with a lighthouse and, about 100 meters away, a regional museum. From there, you can walk to the town's central area, which is nearby and located around 25 de Mayo Square.

Traveling about 3 km south takes you to La Curtiembre Park, which has another public beach surrounded by green spaces, a camping area, restrooms and short trails for getting to know the local surroundings better.

It is a destination frequented by tourists during the warmer months, who come to enjoy its beaches and cool off in the river. It is also only about 49 km from the border with the province of Corrientes, making it a good option for taking a tour of the tourist destinations in both provinces (Entre Ríos and Corrientes) that have sandy beaches.

To get to La Paz:
— By bus: its bus terminal receives daily direct services from the cities of Buenos Aires (Retiro station), Corrientes, Gualeguay, Paraná and Rosario. On some days of the week buses also arrive from Córdoba.
— By car: it can be reached via National Route 12, about 83 km from Esquina (Corrientes) and 157 km from the city of Paraná.
