Information
It is a town located in the province of La Rioja. It is placed in what is called the Costa Riojana, a valley between mountains through which the National Route 75 passes. It was especially known in the nineties because the former Argentinean President Carlos Saúl Menem was born there.
It has lodgings, grocery shops, a fuel station and an ATM. There is a camping site with concrete tables and benches, electricity, barbecues and toilets. There is a Natural Science and Anthropology Museum to visit, and on Coronel Barrios Avenue, past the Virgencita roundabout, there is a clock where a walk starts.
Its access is on the paved National Route 75, about 31 kilometres from Aimogasta and 90 kilometres from the city of La Rioja.
