It is a place in Salta, located about 90 km from the provincial capital. It is at 2800 metres above sea level, and the Tastil River flows alongside it, which can be partially or totally frozen during the cold season of the year.It has a church, which has a museum-like ecclesiastical centre next to it. On the top of a mountain behind it, you can see a cross and a Stations of the Cross.
It can be reached by the National Route 51 that connects San Antonio de los Cobres with the city of Salta. It is a typical place where those who take the Tren a las Nubes excursion make a stop.
