Information

It is a city located in the west of the province of Corrientes, about 80 km from Goya and 138 km from the city of Corrientes.

It has services to receive tourists such as a tourist information office, grocery shops, restaurants and lodging. Its central area is around the main square Pedro Ferré.

It is situated on the east bank of the Paraná River. It has a long waterfront, which in one part can be walked along the sidewalk of the street or alternatively through a path along the banks of the river. In one sector there is a public beach called Bella Beach, with abundant sand and very popular during the hot season. At the end of the beach you can see in the distance some high cliffs over the Paraná River.

At the end of the waterfront heading south, you can continue uphill to the Cruz de los Milagros Park, which is on top of a cliff. It is a green space with a giant white cross, a camping site on one side and excellent panoramic views. At one end there is a descent that leads directly to Bella Beach.

Its paleontological museum Toropí also stands out. A good number of fossils of extinct prehistoric mammals of genera such as Lestodon, Toxodon, etc. are exhibited there. These samples were taken from the Toropí Paleontological Park, which is located about 7 km south on Provincial Route 27 up to a fork in the road, and then about 2.5 km along a dirt road to a car park and entrance. From there you can walk into the park and visit it, appreciating the different geological forms of the area.
