It is a laguna (a type of inland lake) in the province of Buenos Aires located next to the town of Bragado. It covers an area of about 350 hectares and its tributary is the Saladillo Stream.
It is surrounded by wide green spaces with wooded areas that make up the Parque Lacunario General San Martín. It is very crowded, especially on weekends, by the inhabitants of the town and fishermen that come from other parts of the province.
Inside the park there is a waterfront for walking, picnic sites and a municipal camping site. It has tables and benches, barbecues, toilets and a grocery store. There are boat ramps and also private nautical clubs. Anything else you may need can be obtained in the town, which has shops, a petrol station and accommodation options.
The body of water is reached by an asphalted road. From the centre of Bragado it is about 2 to 3 km. If you are coming from another locality, the access road opens up from Provincial Route 45.
