Cayastá

Information

It is a locality in the east of the province of Santa Fe, about 77 km from the provincial capital (city of Santa Fe). It is on the west bank of the San Javier River.

It has some services such as ATM, grocery shops, restaurants and lodgings. In the outskirts there is a petrol station.

You can visit its main square, which has a chapel in front of it. And from there you can go towards the river for a walk along its waterfront, which has a stairway to go down and access a path along its shore, and at the end of which there is a green space for daytime use with shade and toilets.

Undoubtedly an unmissable attraction is the archaeological park Santa Fe La Vieja, which is on the outskirts. It is the original site where Juan de Garay founded the city of Santa Fe (later moved to the site where it is today), which you can visit and see its ruins and museum.
