Puerto Gaboto

Information

It is a town in Santa Fe, about 61 km from Rosario and 114 km from the provincial capital (Santa Fe City). It is right where the Carcarañá River flows into the Coronda River. It is an excellent destination for nautical activities.

It has services such as a tourist information office, ATM, grocery shops, some lodgings, and several restaurants where it is common to find fish dishes. There is a communal camping site located on the banks of the Carcarañá River with boat ramp.

Its main square is the 25 de Mayo and diagonally across it is the old church of Nuestra Señora del Luján. If you continue from there towards the waterfront you will find the Paseo Ribereño, an ideal place for an afternoon picnic with a view of the Coronda River, where there are wooden benches, toilets and children's games. You can also visit the mouth of the Carcarañá River, as it is surrounded by a wide green space frequented by fishermen.

To get to Puerto Gaboto, from the Rosario-Santa Fe motorway there is an access road (which becomes Provincial Route 95), and it is 10 kilometres to the town. There are also buses that come every day from the nearby Santa Fe towns of Rosario, Capitán Bermúdez, San Lorenzo, Timbúes, Villa La Ribera, Oliveros and Maciel.
