It is a town in the Los Lagos region of Chile. It is located on the shores of Lake Puyehue, next to the source of the Pilmaiquén River, which forms the border between the regions of Los Lagos and Los Ríos. The name Entre Lagos originates from the fact that besides being on the shore of Lake Puyehue, it is also close to Lake Rupanco.It has a waterfront path and a viewpoint over the lake with a sign that says Puyehue where tourists usually take pictures. As it is on Route 215 that connects the city of Osorno with the Cardenal Samore border crossing, it is a place where travellers coming and going from Argentina and other tourist attractions in Chile, such as the lake and the Puyehue National Park, stop.
It has services such as shops, cabins, campsite and a bank. There are also restaurants and food stalls near the waterfront.
