Information

It is a bay and tourist town in the Chilean region of Los Lagos, located on the Pacific coast. It is 2 km from Bahía Mansa, 10 km from Pucatrihue and 57 km from Osorno. It is a destination that receives a large number of visitors during the high summer season, especially in the months of January and February. It has accommodation, grocery shops and restaurants.

A peculiarity is that it is divided into two sectors with their respective seaside areas, both on the same bay. One is called Maicolpue Norte, which has a wide beach and a circular viewpoint with stairs on the sides. The other is called Maicolpue Río Sur, which is located where the Sur River flows into the sea. In both sectors you can appreciate the great landscape formed by the sea, the sand, the green vegetation and the buildings built on the hills. It is worth mentioning that in times of high tourism it is sometimes so crowded that it can be difficult to find a place to park the vehicles.

How to get to Maicolpue:
- The paved Route U-410 connects Bahía Mansa with both tourist areas.
- If you are coming from Osorno by car, first take the asphalted Route U-40 from Osorno to Bahía Mansa and then take the paved Route U-410 to reach Maicolpue.
- There are buses coming from Osorno and Bahía Mansa.
