Information

It is a beach located on the Pacific coast of the Los Ríos region of Chile. It is about 30 km from the tourist town of Niebla.

It has the particularity that, at the moment, it is in a natural environment with few buildings. Precisely for this reason, there are few services (only a couple of food stalls in the high season) and it is therefore recommended to bring everything you need for the day. In the high summer months (January and February) it receives a lot of visitors, but it is always quieter than other places.

At the southern end of the beach there are some large rocks, one of which has two openings and whose picture is the one you usually see of the place. This area is also home to a large number of shorebirds, including the blackish oystercatcher (Haematopus ater) and the red-legged cormorant (Phalacrocorax gaimardi).

Pilolcura is reached by an asphalted road that leaves from a fork in the road that leads to Punta Curiñanco.
