Information

It is a tourist town in the province of Córdoba in Argentina, located at the southern end of the Punilla Valley. It is next to Villa Icho Cruz and is located at a distance of 11 km from Villa Carlos Paz. It has lodgings, camping sites and some grocery shops. There is a tourist information office on its access.

It is crossed by the San Antonio River, whose crystalline water flows through a course of sand and stones in the middle of a quite wild mountain environment. In some stretches there are descents to different sandy beaches. A place that stands out is El Diquecito, with an artificial waterfall where in its upper part a pool is formed and from below the river flows out between walls and large stones. Here you can rent a boat or canoe to get to the a beach called Playa de los Hippies (there are also those who get there by a path through the mountain, which is not recommended as it is complicated).

It is worth mentioning that this town is in an optimal location to visit the rest of the Punilla Valley located to the north; as well as to travel the road of the Altas Cumbres and to visit the Quebrada del Condorito National Park to the south.

To get to Cuesta Blanca:
a) By bus: public transport come and go from Córdoba City, Icho Cruz, Mayu Sumaj, San Antonio de Arredondo and Carlos Paz.
b) By car: it is on Provincial Route 14, which can be used to get there from the north or from the south:
- Route 14 towards the north links it to the other localities of the south of the Punilla Valley up to Carlos Paz and the San Roque Reservoir. From there, taking other roads, it connects to the city of Córdoba or to the north of Punilla.
- If you take Route 14 towards the south, after about 12 kilometres you will take Provincial Route 34, which crosses the Pampa de Achala and further on reaches the destinations of the Traslasierra Valley. But if you go straight south, you can reach the tourist sites of Paravachasca and the Calamuchita Valley.
