Information
The so-called Cenotes Route (in Spanish 'Ruta de los Cenotes') is the road that links Puerto Morelos with Leona Vicario. Actually, it starts on Route 307, at 3.5 km from Puerto Morelos.
As you can imagine, it is so called because it has a number of accesses to different cenotes, most of which are from kilometre 12 onwards (counted from the beginning of Route 307).
On this Puerto Morelos-Leona Vicario road are the following:
- Cenote Las Mojarras: the access is at kilometre 12.5.
- Cenote 7 Bocas: at kilometre 15.
- Cenote Boca del Puma: at kilometre 16.
- Cenote Verde Lucero: at km 17.
At kilometre 19 there is a secondary road on the left, where you will find others:
- Toh Reserve: is at km 1.5 of this secondary road. It does not have cenotes, but there are trails for birdwatching, so it is recommended to go early in the morning to see more species.
- Cenote La Noria: it has two access roads, one at kilometre 5 and the other at kilometre 7.
- Cenote Zapote: at km 7.
- Cenotes Kin-Ha: also at km 7.
