Information

San Clemente del Tuyú is a town located at the northern end of the Buenos Aires Atlantic Coast. It is the northernmost destination among the string of seaside towns along the province’s shoreline, classic summer spots for those living in Greater Buenos Aires. It is usually seen as a quiet place, though during the peak of the high season (especially in January and February) it becomes quite busy.

It is a place that offers services designed for visitors: tourist information offices, gas/petrol stations, ATMs, a variety of shops, and hotels of different levels and prices. There are also several places to eat, with some standing out for their fresh fish and seafood.

The beaches of San Clemente are wide, long, flat, with fine sand and only a few areas with small dunes. The town also has a municipal park that invites you to explore, with green spaces, trees and paths that are perfect for walking or relaxing.

As for natural areas, just outside the town lies Punta Rasa, a unique reserve that has become a privileged site for observing seabirds and migratory species.

How to get there:
— By car from Buenos Aires or La Plata: take National Route 2 to Dolores, then Provincial Route 63 for about 30 km to a roundabout, and finally Provincial Route 11 for 87 km until reaching San Clemente.
— By bus: there are direct services from Buenos Aires (terminals in Liniers, Retiro and others), from La Plata, and from many towns in Greater Buenos Aires (especially in the southern area). There are also bus lines that connect San Clemente with the different coastal towns all the way to Mar del Plata.
