Itapé

Information

It is a beach in the city of Concepción del Uruguay in the Argentine province of Entre Ríos. It is located on the Itapé Creek, a branch or watercourse that extends from the Uruguay River which forms islands and islets in this area. It is one of the several river beaches that the city has, and they receive a significant number of visitors during the vacation season and long weekends. In fact, from the beach itself you can see the bridge that leads to Isla del Puerto, an island that became a popular recreational area following the construction of the bridge.

The sandy beach is about 200 meters long. It is surrounded by a green area with shade from trees, which has a camping area with barbecue grills and benches. During the high summer season (especially in January and February) it has services available, including a small convenience store.

To get there, from the main square of Concepción del Uruguay take Juan Domingo Perón Street south for 1.5 km. You reach a roundabout, where you take the second exit. Then continue along this road for about 150 meters until a fork, where you take the road to the right, which leads directly to the beach.
