It is a protected area located on the Valdés peninsula. Geographically, it is a point on the Nuevo Gulf.

To get there, from where the entrance ticket to the peninsula is paid, follow Provincial Route 2 for 46 km until a fork in the road. Take the paved road on the right for 2.5 km until a second fork. There you take the gravel road on the right for 5 km to the protected area.

Punta Pirámides is a coastal steppe area with cliffs. It has a colony of South American sea lions (Otaria flavescens), which can be observed from a lookout point. They are best seen at low tide.
