It is a locality situated 22 km away from the Ernesto Tornquist Provincial Park and 32 km from Villa Ventana.
The town of Tornquist has a tourist information office, petrol station, grocery shops and lodgings.

- Ernesto Tornquist Square: it is in the centre of the locality. It has an artificial lake and the Santa Rosa de Lima Church.
- Calvario: it is located about 3 km away from the town (you have to go through a precarious secondary road). It has the Way of the Cross stations in a small area of mountain forest.
- Balneario Municipal Parque Norte: it is a recreational area about 6 km away, on the banks of the Sauce Chico River. It has camping sites.
- If you go 22 km away is the Ernesto Tornquist Provincial Park, and 20 or 30 km away is the access to the Cerro Tres Picos (a mountain), two excellent places to get to know the Sierras de Ventania (a mountain chain).
