Information
It is a park located very close to the central area of Tandil, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
It is accessed through the intersection of Arturo Illia Avenue and Echeverría Street, where its imposing granite portal is located.
Once inside the park, you drive up an asphalted road to the top, which is almost 300 metres high, where the Morisco Castle, El Bastión and the monument to General Martín Rodríguez (founder of Fort Independencia, nowadays Tandil) are located. This place is an excellent panoramic viewpoint to see the city from the top. From the back of this peak, a stone path leads down first to a viewpoint of the Lago del Fuerte (a lake) and finally reaches its dam.
