Information

It is a walk through a hilly environment of Tandil, which allows us to learn about the history of stonecutters who worked in quarries where granite was extracted. This material was used to make cobblestones that were taken to the city of Buenos Aires.

You can see a Monumento al Picapedrero (Monument to the Stonecutter), and there is a viewpoint from where you can see different hills and the relief of the area.

To get there, at the end of the Lago del Fuerte (a lake) there is a roundabout, where you take San Gabriel Avenue. It is 1.5 kilometres to the Banco Provincia Club. From here, if you take the road to the left, it is 1.2 km to the place. On the other hand, if you go straight on, you first drive 600 metres, turn left and then drive 1.5 km to the site.
