Isla del Puerto

Information

It is a recreational area in the city of Concepción del Uruguay in the province of Entre Ríos, located on the banks of the Uruguay River. To be exact, it is an island connected to the city by a bridge that was built with the purpose of turning it into a beach attraction.

It has a large parking area for cars, a restaurant, restrooms, and a few shops where you can buy drinks and groceries. There is a long riverside road, with access points leading down to an extensive sandy beach equipped with straw umbrellas. All of this offers an excellent view of the landscape formed by the Uruguay River and Cambacuá Island, which lies across from it (there is a catamaran that offers access to the island; confirm dates and the exact departure location).

With the construction of the bridge and all the infrastructure needed to receive visitors, Isla del Puerto has become one of the city's main attractions. During the warmer months of summer (between January and March), large numbers of people come and the place tends to be quite lively.

To get to Isla del Puerto from the main square of Concepción del Uruguay, take Juan Domingo Perón Street south for approximately 1.5 km. You will reach a roundabout, where you take the second exit. Continue along this road for about 150 meters until you reach a fork, where you take the road to the left. This will take you to the bridge that leads directly to the island.
