This is a very popular beach and recreational area in Concepción del Uruguay, located on the shore of the Uruguay River.
It has an extensive sandy beach, where camping is allowed, so many people spend the night there during the high season. On some weekends there are concerts and/or festivals on the beach. Keep in mind that in January and February, the crowds can be very high.
To get to Banco Pelay, from the main square of Concepción, take 25 de Mayo Street northwards for 1.1 km. Turn left, make a curve and take 25 de Junio Avenue for 550 metres. You get to a roundabout where the road to the beach starts, it is 4 km to the site.
