Information
It is one of the Jesuit missions of Paraguay, one of the most structured that can be seen today. It is located in the department of Itapúa, only 12 km from the town of Trinidad (where there is another Jesuit reduction to visit) and 42 km from Encarnación.
To enter you have to pay a ticket, which also serves to visit the other missions of San Cosme y Damián and Santísima Trinidad.
In this Jesuit mission you can currently see a block of structures, consisting of a church and a school. The construction of this temple began in the 16th century, but it was never finished, as it was only half finished in 1768 when the expulsion of all the reductions was ordered from Spain.
