Image: Recreation area of Ybycuí National Park
Information
It is a park organised and prepared to receive tourists, with several attractions to visit. It is located near the locality of Ybycuí.
It has park rangers and a ticket is required to enter. It has a recreation area with a picnic site, tables with seats and toilets. When I was there, there was a camping site and overnight stays were allowed.
Personally, I recommend two days if you want to see the whole park. The main attraction is undoubtedly to walk along its different trails in an environment of streams and waterfalls. It also has a historical site about 300 metres from the main entrance, consisting of an old iron foundry called La Rosada and its museum, where tools and war pieces were manufactured.
How to get there:
- From the town of Ybycuí it is 24 km along a fully asphalted road, accessed by taking the main road through the middle of the town heading south.
- If you are coming from the town of La Colmena, take into account that it is 27 km along a dirt road, which I must say had many potholes when I travelled along it.
