To get to Oaxaca de Juárez, capital of the state of Oaxaca, you have these means of transport:

1. Bus:
- Take into account that the city has more than one bus station: there is the Primera Clase (First Class) terminal, the Segunda Clase (Second Class) terminal, Santa Rosa and Periférico. Depending on where and by which company you are travelling from, you can get to one or the other central.
- There are buses from Acapulco, Cuernavaca, Puebla, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Veracruz and many other places. From Mexico City they leave from the Tapo and Central del Sur (Taxqueña) terminals, and it takes about 7 to 8 hours to get there. There are also vehicles from other tourist destinations in the state of Oaxaca, such as Puerto Escondido and Santa María Huatulco.

2. By plane: the city has an international airport where direct flights arrive from Mexico City every day, and there may be (confirm) some days of the week from Cancún, Dallas (United States), Guadalajara, Huatulco, Puerto Escondido and Tijuana. Connecting flights are available from many other places.
