Those who want to visit Montezuma, in the Puntarenas province of Costa Rica, can reach the town by these means of transport:
1. By bus:
- There are direct buses from San José.
- A company makes the route Paquera-Tambor-Cóbano-Montezuma every day.
- If you come from Santa Teresa or Malpaís, you have to take a bus to Cóbano, and from there another one to Montezuma.
2. By boat:
- From Playa Herradura (Herradura Beach), which is 6 or 7 km from Jacó, there is a boat that goes directly and quickly to Montezuma. You can arrange for the ticket to include the Jacó-Playa Herradura transfer.
- There is a ferry that leaves from Puntarenas and drops off in Paquera, with several departures per day. From there you have to take a bus to Montezuma.
