Campsite of San José

Information

This beach and camping site is located on the west shore of the Uruguay River, 6 km from the town of San José and also about 6 km from Colón.

To enter the area you have to pay a ticket. It has a tourist information office, a supermarket and public toilets. The campsite is wide and has tables and grills. There is a boat ramp and a good sandy beach. In high summer season (January and February) it is usually very crowded.

To get there by car from the town of San José is 6 km, of which 5 km are asphalted and 1 km is gravel. There is a bus that goes and comes back during the day from the bus terminal of San José.
