Information

It is an island of 31 km², making it the largest of the Lake Nahuel Huapi. It belongs to the province of Neuquén, with its southern end very close to what is considered the border with Río Negro.

Boats leave from Puerto Pañuelo in San Carlos de Bariloche to visit it. The typical excursion offered is the joint visit to the arrayán or Chilean myrtle (Luma apiculata) forest of the Quetrihué Peninsula followed by Victoria Island, with options of a half-day or full-day trip. Please note that the tour ticket does not normally include the boarding fee and entrance fee to the national park, which must be paid separately before boarding.

The island is usually reached through Anchorena Port. It has toilets and a cafeteria where drinks and food are sold.

There are a variety of attractions to see such as beaches, cave paintings, viewpoints and forests, which can be visited on foot thanks to the several trails available.
