Information
Victoria Island has several trails that allow you to walk and access several of its sectors and tourist attractions.
When arriving to the island through Puerto Anchorena there is a sign indicating the trails that can be done, their duration, degree of difficulty and what each one consists of. They are the following:
- Natural Trail: it is easy and is often done with the guides of the excursions who tell a little about the flora of the island and its history.
- Playa del Toro trail: it is of low difficulty and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the Playa del Toro (a beach). On the way you can see a site with paintings made on rocks.
- Antiguo Vivero Trail: it is also of low difficulty and you walk along a path that shows exotic tree species that were brought years ago from different parts of the world. You can see birches, cedars, pines, sequoias, etc.
- Aurelio Pargade Trail: it is of medium difficulty. At times you walk through the forest and at times along the edge of a hill. It passes through 3 viewpoints: a viewpoint of the lake, a viewpoint of the Cerro Quemado (a hill) and a viewpoint of exotic trees.
A short detour from the Antiguo Vivero trail leads to Puerto Gross, where there is a pier and a good beach.
