Diamante

Information

It is a town in the western part of the Argentine province of Entre Ríos. It is located where the Paraná River delta begins, on the banks of the river in an area of countless channels and islands. Most of the population is located on higher ground, with streets that descend to the lower area along the river. It has grocery stores, a petrol station, an ATM, restaurants and accommodations.

It has several tourist attractions in its surroundings:
— On the riverbank, halfway toward the town of Strobel, there is the Valle de la Ensenada municipal recreational area, with a spacious campground equipped with tables and chairs, restrooms, showers and a natural pool fed by river water.
— The Pre-Delta National Park is only 6 km away via a paved road, and is undoubtedly one of the great sites to visit in the entire area. It is an ideal place to spend the day, walk along its trails, and it also has a camping area. It is common to see a large number of wild birds there.
— If you travel about 32 km along Provincial Route 11 toward Victoria, you reach Doll Creek, which has some beaches and a free picnic area.

To get to Diamante:
— By bus: it has a small bus terminal, where public transportation arrives directly from Paraná.
— By car: it can be reached via Provincial Route 11, which is fully paved. Its access is 38 km from the city of Paraná, 73 km from Victoria and 178 km from Gualeguay.
