Laguna de Navarro

Information

The Laguna de Navarro is located in the town of Navarro, about 95 km from the city of Buenos Aires. It covers an area of around 250 hectares. It receives visitors from nearby towns and from Greater Buenos Aires, and it is usually busy on weekends, especially on Sundays during good weather seasons.

Its tributaries are the El Pescado stream and the Las Garzas stream, and it drains into the new Las Garzas stream to the south. On the surface of the water you can often see a good number of native birds typical of the region, especially aquatic species such as coots, ducks and herons.

On its shores there is a large municipal campsite with tables and benches, restrooms, a small store and shaded areas with trees. It also has a pedestrian bridge that allows crossing to an islet. The entrance is on Provincial Route 40, only 700 meters from San Lorenzo Square in the center of Navarro.

In the town you can find some services you need such as shops, lodging, places to eat, a gas/petrol station and an ATM. The town also offers other attractions like a replica of Fort San Lorenzo (a historic site) and the Municipal Historical Museum, both ideal to complete a day trip.
