Information

It is a Puna village located above 3900 metres above sea level, in the middle of a wide desert extension. It belongs to the province of Jujuy, right on the border with Salta. It has accommodation, a dining room and a place to buy food and drinks.

Its attractions include the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, and a 400-metre long road that leads to a viewpoint from where you can appreciate the town and the surrounding Andean landscape.

To get to Catua, its access is on the route that leads to the international pass of Sico between Argentina and Chile. From there it is 1.5 kilometres along a secondary road to the village.
