It is a recreational park and its laguna (like a lake) located in Santa Rosa, capital of the province of La Pampa. It is very popular with the inhabitants of the city, especially on weekends. It has a swimming pool, and courts and tracks for different sports. It has a camping site.
The entrance is on San Martín Avenue and the exit is on Uruguay Avenue. You can walk there from the centre, or if you come from another part of the city, bus lines 4 and 6 leave close by (you have to pay with a card called SUBE).
A 5 km path runs along the perimeter of the body of water, where you can sit on its shores and reach different attractions such as the lighthouse and the Cruz viewpoint. There are 3 islands accessed by bridges: one has a viewpoint, another one has a restaurant and the third one is the Children's Island. A train called 'El Pamperito' runs through the park to this last island.
Passing the Cruz, a path opens up that leads to the La Malvina Urban Nature Reserve. There you can visit the ranch house of the founder of Santa Rosa, Don Tomás Mason. It has a circular path of low difficulty that passes by a viewpoint.
