La Pampa

It is a province located in the centre-south of the country. Although it is largely flat and its eastern part is part of the so-called Pampean plain, to the west it has low hills. On the other hand, the climate becomes drier as we move from east to west.

It has several tourist destinations:
- You can visit its capital and most populated city Santa Rosa, where you can see its civic centre, museums and the Laguna Don Tomás Recreational Park.
- The Parque Luro Reserve is close to the provincial capital. There you can appreciate its caldén forest (an autochthonous tree) and watch the spectacle of red deer (a species introduced many years ago) during the rutting season.
- The Lihué Calel National Park is characterised by the presence of low hills. It has different trails where you can get to know its fauna, access to attractions such as cave paintings and make the ascent to the Cerro de la Sociedad Científica Argentina (a mountain).
- In the west of the province is Casa de Piedra, where you can enjoy its extensive organised camping site and do activities around the homonymous reservoir (Casa de Piedra).
- To the east is the locality of Guatraché, which has a pink laguna (like a lake) and camping site nearby.

Regarding transportation, the capital Santa Rosa has an airport where flights arrive from the city of Buenos Aires. Other cities can be reached by different bus lines, either directly or with connections.
