Information

It is a dam located about 16 km from the capital of the province. Its tributary and effluent is the San Juan River.

In its surroundings there are nautical clubs, lodgings, viewpoints and beach areas. There is a municipal camping site with all the services. It has a pier for boats and a shore with a public beach. Some days of the week there is a catamaran that goes on a tour around the waters of the dam (confirm schedules).

For those who like hiking, there are two options of trails that can be accessed near one side and the other of the wall and the hydroelectric power plant of the dam:
- Cerro Tres Marías Natural Adventure Park: it is a trekking of medium difficulty with which you reach the top of a mountain.
- Loma de las Tapias Natural Park: it is a landscape of 'lunar' aspect formed by the erosion of the wind and the water on a soft terrain.

The dam is reached from the city of San Juan through the paved Route 60, which partially surrounds the reservoir and serves as access to its main attractions.
