Information
Lake Roca, also called Lake Acigami, is a huge body of water that belongs partly to Argentina and partly to Chile. This means that the international boundary runs through the waters of the lake.
It is the source of the Lapataia River, the main watercourse we see in the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
To get to Lake Roca or Lake Acigami, from the Alakush visitor centre of the Tierra del Fuego National Park, there is an 800-metre long path (easy, with no gradient), which can be done on foot or by car, as there is a car park. You reach a beach, from where a trail called Hito XXIV (trail that leads to the boundary marker between Argentina and Chile) starts.
