Information

It is a place located in the Sierras of San Luis (a mountain chain).

Its main attraction is the ruins of the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Chapel, built at the end of the 17th century, whose structure is made of adobe and wood. It was managed by the Jesuits, until they were expelled in 1767 by order of the Spanish crown. It is currently a National Historic Monument.

To get there, from the asphalted Provincial Route 39 there is a dirt road that after 1.1 kilometres leads to the entrance of the chapel.

If you are coming from El Trapiche or from the La Florida Dam, along Route 39 on the way to Paso del Rey you will pass by the access to the Virgen de la Cobrera Sanctuary, which is located in a place with a great panoramic view of the surrounding mountainous landscape.
