It is a recreational area in Esquel that has a small dam and an artificial waterfall over the Esquel Stream.
To get there from the city centre, take Alvear Avenue heading northeast. A little before leaving the city and reaching the bridge over the Esquel Stream, turn left into Guido Spano Street. After a few metres turn right, pass under a railway bridge and immediately turn right again to continue parallel to the railway track.
At the entrance there is a small picnic area with wooden tables and a little further on a car park. From there you can continue on foot along a trail that runs parallel to the stream to reach the waterfall and a huge body of water at the foot of a mountain. Please note that if it is a very dry season there may be little water and you will not be able to see the waterfall.
There is a hike which is the Senda al Mirador. It lasts about 15 minutes (one way) and is of medium/low difficulty with ascents. It leads to a viewpoint with a good view of the whole area.
