Information

It is a tourist town located at the southern tip of the province of Buenos Aires, on Anegada Bay along the Atlantic coast. Technically, it is situated on an island called Isla del Jabalí, whose territory is completely surrounded by the sea and rias. This entire area is part of a protected area known as the Bahía San Blas Multiple-Use Reserve, which preserves the natural environment and is home to a wide variety of wildlife.

It offers several services for visitors, including a tourist information office, shops, restaurants and a variety of accommodation options.

There are several attractions to explore and visit in the surrounding area:
— About 4 km before reaching the town, you cross a bridge over Jabalí Creek, which offers a great panoramic viewpoint for photographing the area's wetlands.
— In the town, the beaches in the central area are covered with pebbles. This section features a pedestrian path that follows the shoreline, with benches and shaded areas where visitors can relax or enjoy a picnic.
— If you take Comandante Luis Piedrabuena Avenue (the waterfront avenue) south, you will reach sandy beaches; heading north, pebble beaches become the predominant landscape.

Getting to Bahía San Blas:
— By car: take the road that branches off National Route 3, about 42 km from Carmen de Patagones or 230 km from Bahía Blanca. From that turnoff, there are 60 km of unpaved road.
— By public transportation: there is a bus service connecting Bahía San Blas with Carmen de Patagones.
