Puerto Pirámides

Information

It is a small village located on the Valdés peninsula. It is the only village in this entire protected area.

It has a beach with cliffs. It has hotels, camping sites, restaurants and some services such as grocery stores and public toilets. There is an ATM and a petrol station, although it is recommended to arrive with money and petrol in case they do not have supplies.

The village is full of agencies offering nautical excursions. The main offers are for diving and whale watching by boat. Note that the whales are here from June to October.

How to get to Puerto Pirámides:
- By car: from the entrance to the peninsula, drive 23 km to the interpretation centre. From there, turn right and drive 27 km more to the village. The entire route is paved.
- By public transport: there are buses that come and go daily from the Puerto Madryn bus terminal.
