Information
This is a road close to the locality of San Francisco del Monte de Oro. It goes through a forest of caranday palm trees that allows access to the Socoscora River and to a site with cave paintings.
To get there from the Pringles Square in San Francisco del Monte de Oro, you have to drive 10.1 kilometres along Provincial Route 9 or 7.7 kilometres along the road on the other side of the dam, and then take a dirt road on the right, which is recommended for high vehicles.
From the beginning of this road, after 200 metres you will see the Virgen de Lourdes sanctuary. You continue through a well-preserved forest of caranday palm trees. After about 8 km you reach the Socoscora River with its crystalline waters, in the middle of a mountainous landscape and an ideal place for a picnic.
On a stretch of this road, another secondary road opens up on the right, which leads to cave paintings.
