1. By bus: it has a terminal with parking, tourist information office, toilets, cafeteria and luggage storage. To this terminal:
- There are direct buses from many Argentinean cities such as Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Comodoro Rivadavia, Las Grutas, Mendoza, Neuquén, Puerto Madryn, San Rafael, Santa Rosa and Trelew. There are from San Miguel de Tucumán, San Salvador de Jujuy and Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) but you may have to make a connection (change vehicles) in the city of Córdoba or Neuquén.
- There are also public transport from other tourist centres such as El Bolsón, El Calafate, El Chaltén, Esquel, Junín de los Andes, Los Antiguos, San Martín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura.
- To Chile there are from Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, Santiago, Temuco and Valdivia, but you have to travel via Osorno and Villa La Angostura.
2. By car:
- The national route 40 connects the city with other tourist localities, being for example 82 km to Villa La Angostura, 120 km to El Bolsón, 136 km to Lago Puelo, 190 km to San Martín de los Andes, 285 km to Esquel and 1430 km to El Calafate.
- To go to Chile by asphalt, you drive 93 km along Route 40 and then 32 km along Route 231 to get to the Cardenal Samoré pass, from where you take Chilean Route 215 to Osorno and from there to other Chilean towns.
3. By plane:
- Its international airport Teniente Luis Candelaria receives direct flights every day from Buenos Aires. There are also direct flights some days of the week (to be confirmed) from Córdoba, El Calafate, Mendoza, Rosario and Viedma.
- From the airport to the city you can go by jet car, taxi, or the more economical shared mini bus. You can also take bus line 72 from the airport to the bus terminal and to the city centre, but you will need a 'Sube' card to pay for the ticket and depending on the time of day it may take a while for the vehicle to arrive.
4. By the Patagonian train: its station is about 100 metres from the bus terminal. Take into account that it is a train that connects Bariloche only with the towns of San Antonio Oeste and Viedma (it has stops at intermediate stations) only one day a week (to be confirmed).
