San Luis

Information

It is the most populated city and the capital of the province of San Luis.

It has a variety of services for tourists, such as tourist information offices, accommodation, shops, petrol stations, ATMs and restaurants.

In the city and its surroundings there are different places to visit:
a) Historical Museum of San Luis (MUHSAL): it has ten rooms that show the history of San Luis with audio and video. They go chronologically from the time when the province was inhabited only by native people until the end of the 20th century.
b) Terrazas del Portezuelo and Chico Dam: both attractions are located one in front of the other in the same property:
- The Chico Dam has a small reservoir where one of its tributaries is the Chorrillo River. It is surrounded by green spaces with some concrete benches, from where you can see a tower where the dam's floodgate regulates the outflow of water.
- Terrazas del Portezuelo is a group of public buildings including the new Casa de Gobierno de San Luis (Government House of San Luis), which was built on a hill and is ecological. It is surrounded by a circuit of sculptures made of metal and other materials, with different themes such as native flora and fauna. In one sector there is a park with a concrete path that allows you to reach the top of the hill and the main building.
c) Plaza del Cerro (a square): it is a green space with a stairway to climb a small elevation. From the top there are good views of part of the city.
